Is Alcohol Safe In Product ?
Alcohol in a skincare is it good or bad ? In the past, I always avoided alcohol at all cause. If I see ethanol in the ingredient list, I would just avoid it because I've been taught that alcohol can be very drying and irritating, it can damage the skin barrier function and also it's super powerful on your skin But! Over time I've been researching more about it and I found out that alcohol is pretty safe to use and it's not harmful at all! It has a lot of purpose in skincare formulation. The reason why it triggered me so much is because every product i found contain the same ingredients which is Alcohol. SO Why Alcohol ? Here is the reason : 1. Alcohol as a Preservative - it preserves the product so that it last longer 2. Lighten up the formualation - in terms of the weight and how it feels under the skin's -they formulated it to be lightweight so that as soon as you applied it feels like everything is melti
